Garrett Leight California Optical is an independent eyewear brand committed to creating high quality, handmade eyewear inspired by the people, places, and stories of California.

The first New York location is in a historic storefront in SoHo. Within it everything that defines GLCO was placed into one space, including music, zines and print media, the natural California landscape, photography, and their products. To hold these essentials a new wall was built that bends, twists, and lifts its way around the space. The final outcome is a continuous white ribbon that transitions from one condition to the next, connecting experiences and spaces. An optical lab is located at the back of the space and a pop-up gallery in the basement below.
