Undefeated’s Shibuya flagship store is inspired by a classic, authentic, and minimal aesthetic interpretation of “sport.”
Undefeated is an authentic lifestyle brand and sneaker store inspired by sports, art, music, and street culture. West of West collaborated with the brand to create a new physical retail visual language for all their new stores. The new strategy pulled inspiration from iconic sports venues including Dodger Stadium, Madison Square Garden, and Wrigley Field, and remixes their visual themes including bleachers, stadium lighting, punching bags, and rope, into purpose-built display systems, benches, and custom materials.
Undefeated Tokyo is a black steel and glass building located over two floors on a busy corner in the Shibuya neighborhood of Tokyo. The interior contains a mix of materials including concrete, steel, leather, nylon webbing, and white oak. On the ground floor the shoe wall pulls out to access hidden storage behind and custom floor, wall, and ceiling display fixtures hold product.
