West of West received two honors at the AIA Los Angeles 2025 Design Awards, recognizing the firm’s commitment to design excellence.

AIA NextLA Honor Award – Multi-Unit Residential
Overwalk unites five residential parcels through shared terraces and outdoor spaces. Each includes a main home and an ADU in varying sizes, creating flexibility for different lifestyles. The terraced form increases density while respecting the surrounding neighborhood, offering residents options to expand space, host family, or generate rental income.

AIA Design Merit Award – Adaptive Reuse
On a 200-acre Oregon winery, The Barrel Hall transforms a former sheep barn into a tasting room and production space for Antica Terra. By preserving the existing structure and layering refined sensory details, the design creates an intimate, immersive environment—showing how adaptive reuse can pair sustainability with exceptional experience.
