West of West Wins Twice in Los Angeles’s “Small Lots, Big Impacts” Competition.
Both of West of West’s entries were selected as winners in the "Small Lots, Big Impacts" design competition, an incredible initiative aimed at creating innovative new housing models for Los Angeles!
This groundbreaking competition, a partnership between cityLAB UCLA and the City of Los Angeles(alongside LA4LA), brought together designers from around the world to address L.A.'s pressing housing challenges and fire recovery efforts. With over 350 submissions, it's clear there's immense energy and creativity dedicated to shaping the future of attainable homeownership.
Our winning designs contribute to a vital repository of solutions that reimagine how we can build high-quality, sustainable, and affordable housing on vacant small lots. We believe in the power of thoughtful design to make a tangible difference in our communities.
A huge congratulations to all the other outstanding contributions and a massive thank you to UCLA CityLAB, the City of Los Angeles, and LA4LA for leading this forward-thinking initiative. We're incredibly proud to be part of the solution for L.A.'s next generation of homeowners!
